Welcome to the Dobrinick Funeral Home

John M. Dobrinick, originally from Jeannette PA bought the funeral home from William N. Daugherty in 1974. The location of the funeral home at that time was at 429 Duquesne Avenue in Trafford. John’s son, Thomas J. Dobrinick, became a licensed funeral director in 1994 and joined his dad in the business. They ran the business out of the Duquesne Ave. location for 29 years. The business stayed there until 2003 when M & D Machine Shop (formerly Mikan Motors) was purchased at 702 7th St., just 3 blocks away.

The New Facility

This building was converted into the new funeral home in 9 months time. The new funeral home opened for business on March 27, 2004. The new facility is completely handicapped accessible with no steps or ramps needed to access the facility. It has two parking lots and ample on street parking to accommodate funeral home guests for visitation and services.

We have four visitation rooms, a coffee lounge, children’s play room, large handicapped accessible men’s and women’s restrooms, two large foyers with a two sided fireplace, family conference room and casket/cremation urn selection room.

Our Staff

John M. Dobrinick is the founder of the funeral home. He has been involved with the Trafford Community since purchasing the business. He is a member of the St. Regis Catholic Church, in Trafford, is a member for over 30 years of the Trafford Lions Club, and has been involved with many community events over the last 35 years. He is married to Bonnie M. Casario Dobrinick and they have two children Lynn M. Cass and her husband James, and a son Thomas J. Dobrinick and his wife Laura. He is proud of his grandchildren Alex and Maxwell Cass, Hannah and Emma Dobrinick. Thomas J. Dobrinick has been a licensed funeral director since 1994, licensed insurance agent in the state of Pennsylvania and Notary Public. He currently runs the day to day operations of the business. Tom is married to his wife of 16 years Laura Evans Dobrinick (formerly of Gahanna, OH) and has two girls Hannah and Emma Dobrinick. Tom has been a member of the Trafford Fire Co. #1 since 1995 and is currently the President and Assistant Fire Chief and is actively involved within the Trafford Community.
