William P. “Bill” MacLaughlin age 74 of Irwin passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. Bill was born on July 4, 1947 in Pittsburgh the son of the late William and Julia Beatrice (O’Connor) MacLaughlin. Bill was a veteran of the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church Irwin and he retired from the United States Postal Service as a rural postal carrier. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Margaret “Peggy” (Noel) MacLaughlin; his children Patrick MacLaughlin (Kiersten) and Daniel MacLaughlin; his grandchildren Maggie, Finn, Kaelyn and Declan; and two special cousins Mary Pat Common (Cliff) and Donna Kerber. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc., 702 7th Street (State Rt. 130) Trafford, 412-372-3111. Parting prayers will be at 9:15 AM Saturday in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 10 AM in the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in N. Huntingdon with Fr. Roniel Bantugan Duenas as celebrant. Interment with military honors will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Irwin.
