Veronica J. (Polyfka) Snyder

Veronica J. Snyder, age 92, of Level Green passed away unexpectedly, on Monday December 26, 2022.  Veronica was born on January 14, 1930 in Wilmerding the daughter of the late Stanley and Rose (Polyfka) Miedlar.  Veronica graduated Westinghouse Memorial High School in Wilmerding in 1947 and from the Pittsburgh Hospital School of Nursing in 1951 prior to serving in the US Navy at the Philadelphia Naval Hospital as a Lieutenant Junior Grade in the Nursing Corps until 1953. She remained in the Ready Reserves until 1961.  She was a member of the St. Regis Church in Trafford.  Veronica was a very caring mother and Cioci.  In addition to her parents Veronica was preceded in death by her husband William R. Snyder Jr., and her siblings Stanley and Rosalie Miedlar.  Veronica is survived by her children William R. III, Gary, Carol, James and Janet Snyder; various nieces, nephews and cousins.  Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc., 702 7th St. (State Rt. 130) Trafford 412-372-3111.  Parting prayers will be on Friday at 10:30 AM in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 11 AM in the St. Regis Church with Fr. George Saletrik as celebrant.  Interment will follow with military honors in the New St. Joseph Cemetery, N. Versailles.
