Shirley Marcon, 93, of Trafford, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 7, 2021 surrounded by her loving family, music and prayer. She had a deep faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and is now under his care. She was born June 10, 1928, in Pontiac Michigan, the daughter of late Benjamin and Dolores Leonard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Amedeo (Jake) Marcon; and two brothers, Lloyd Leonard and Clyde Leonard. She is survived by her two children, Keith Marcon (Lee Colker), of Pittsburgh, and Karen (Gary) Nagy, of Valencia; two grandchildren, Bryan (Kristen) Nagy, and Brittany (Jake) Puffenberger; a great grandchild Kenslee Puffenberger; and a sister Carole Nix; and several nieces and nephews. Shirley was a loving wife and mother and a terrific grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her family and all the people she knew and touched throughout her life. Family and friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc., 702 7th (St., Route 130), Trafford, 412-372-3111. The family requests all guests to wear a face covering during visitation in the funeral home. Parting prayers will be at 10:15 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. in Paintertown Evangelical Lutheran Church. Entombment will follow in the Twin Valley Memorial Park Mausoleum, Delmont. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Shadyside Hospital for the loving and compassionate care that they provided during her time of need.
