Shirley M. (Sedlak) Berta, 72, of Level Green, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021, in UPMC East, Monroeville. Shirley was born May 30, 1948, in Homestead, the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Hruska) Sedlak. Shirley was a member of the St. Regis Church, Trafford. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She was always the life of the party and to celebrate and also loved to cook and bake. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Lorraine Ballog. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, John B. "Jack" Berta Jr.; her children, Teresa Berta-Sepe (Eric), of Level Green, and Sarah Bradley (Michael), of Harrison City; her loving grandchildren, Lorryn and Addison Sepe and Sophia and Luke Bradley; and nieces and nephews and other extended family. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the JOHN M. DOBRINICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 702 Seventh St., (State Route 130), Trafford, 412-372-3111. Parting prayers will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in the St. Regis Church, Trafford, with Father George Saletrik as celebrant.
