Samuel R. McWilliams

Samuel R. McWilliams, age 74, of Level Green passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022.  Samuel was born on May 4, 1948. Sam was preceded in death by his loving parents, Paul Wigle McWilliams and Elizabeth Whitman McWilliams as well as his daughter Karla McWilliams.  He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Rita Nock McWilliams, his brothers-in-law James P Nock, wife Betty, John H Nock, wife Mary Ann, David Nock, and his sister-in-law Becky Kucic, husband Marty, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Sam was a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan University and did graduate work at the University of Pittsburgh and Penn State University. For more than 30 years he was a devoted teacher in the Penn Trafford School District. In the summer he sometimes co-taught a horticulture class at St. Vincent University. Sam was an avid car enthusiast and loved to garden. He was often seen riding his tractor, mowing his 20 acres. He also collected records and loved music. In his spare time, Sam sometimes DJ’d weddings and special occasions. He was devoted to his wife Rita and his little dog “Sweetie” and will be remembered and missed by all. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in John M Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc. 702 7th St. (State Rt 130) Trafford 412-372-3111.  Parting prayers will be Thursday at 11 AM in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 11:30 Am in St Regis Church with Father George Saletrik as celebrant.  Interment will follow in the Union Cemetery, Irwin.  www.dobrinickfhinc.com
