Rose Vinsick, 89, of Penn Township, formerly of Trafford, passed away July 23, 2023. Rose was born on November 5, 1933, the younger daughter of the late Anthony Massaro and Marianna (Papa) Massaro-Viola. Rose will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, “gram,” and great-grandmother. She was a faithful member of Christian Life Church and volunteered for 35 years at the Trafford Library. She was a member of the Level Green Senior Citizens and a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 331. Rose also provided childcare services for many children in her home and at the Christian Life Church nursery. She was passionate about her hobbies, which included reading, crossword puzzles, bingo, and her “drawings” through which she corresponded with friends all over the country. One of Rose’s most notable talents was that of cookie-maker. Her family and friends will especially remember her gobs and peanut butter blossoms. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Michael Viola, and her sister, Marion Wood. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert; her children Terri (Mark) Smith of Kalispell, MT; Robert J. Vinsick of Kingston, NY; Michael (Donna) Vinsick of Hudson, FL; Rhonda (Mark) Berlin of Harrison City, PA; Steven Vinsick of Trafford, PA; her “adopted” daughter, Mary Jo (George) Stanesic of Trafford, PA; her six grandchildren Jessica, Christina, Heather, Michael, Lindsay, and Samantha; and her seven great-grandchildren Jordan, JaLynn Rose, Amelia, Aiden, Clara, Henry, and Aubrey. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, from 6-8 pm in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home, Inc., 702 7th Street (State Route 130), Trafford, PA, 412-372-3111. Additional visitation will be held from 10:30 am until the time of the funeral service Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Christian Life Church, 900 7th Street Ext., Trafford, with Pastor Gary Simpson officiating.
