Rose P. (Cannillo) Folino

Rose Patricia (Cannillo) Folino, age 97, of Trafford passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023 in her home.  Rose was born on July 17, 1925 in Pittsburgh the daughter of the late Vincent and Maria D. (Truno) Cannillo.  Rose was a faithful member of the St. Regis Church in Trafford.  She was a fabulous cook and baker.  Her and her siblings would make and sell homemade Italian food at the former Trafford Community Festivals.  They were known for their fried dough and Italian sausages.  Rose loved her yard and was very proud of its appearance.  She spent many hours planting and watering all of her plants and many people acknowledged her hard work and beautiful yard.  Rose was preceded in death by her husband Lou Folino in 2000; her siblings Anthony J., Vincent J., John and Dominic J. Cannillo, Rachel Morocco, Angie Hixson, Florence Bergamasco and Mary Cuda.  Rose is survived by her children Lou A. Folino (Kathy Jane) and Debbie Cortazzo (the late John); grandchildren Nicole Gonder (Tim), Johnny Cortazzo (Erin), Ashley Marie Folino and Corey Joseph Folino; Rose is also survived by her pride and joy her five great-grandchildren Cruz, Capri, Zinnia, Athens and Caiden; her sister Lucy Jurczak; and many nieces and nephews.  Rose’s family would like to thank ProMedica Hospice; Sharon, Jamie and Cindy for their wonderful care of Rose.  Her caregivers; Cheryl, Diane and Fay were her angels.   Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 2-8 PM in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc. 702 7th St. (State Rt. 130) Trafford 412-372-3111.  Parting prayers will be at 10:30 AM Friday in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 11 AM in the St. Regis Church with Fr. George Saletrik as celebrant.  Interment will follow in the Good Shepherd Cemetery, Monroeville.
