Robert C. “Bob” Chiappetta, 80, of Trafford, passed away on Monday January 15, 2024 at UPMC East Hospital, Monroeville. Born in Braddock, PA on January 3, 1944, Bob was the son of the late Peter and Theresa Chiodo Chiappetta. After graduating from Trafford High School in 1962, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. He was a member of the Presidential Honor Guard. After being honorably discharged from the Marines, he joined Duquesne Light Co. and worked as a lineman, crew leader and trouble shooter for over 35 years. His work ethic was admirable, and he was a role model to his children and grandchildren. Bob married his loyal and loving wife Sandra Koepka and was a devoted husband of 57 years. Together they built a family that would span generations. He loved his family. His children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his pride and joy. He had a bold presence and an infectious smile. He enjoyed telling jokes and sharing stories of growing up in Trafford, his time in the Marines and as a lineman at Duquesne Light. Bob was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Trafford. Bob was preceded in death by his siblings Marie Neiswonger, Daisy Monzo, Ross and Chuckie Chiappetta. Left behind to treasure his memories are his wife Sandra Koepka Chiappetta; his children Lynn Chiappetta Antoon, Dana Chiappetta Hainsey (fiancé Matt Lovre) and Jeff (Kristen) Chiappetta; his grandchildren Morgan and Robert Hainsey, Trent Liebman, Santino and Micaela Chiappetta; his great-grandchildren Byron and Dakota Dovales; his brother John (Ilene) Chiappetta and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 12-4 PM at the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc., 702 7th St. (State Rt. 130) Trafford, PA 412-372-3111. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 AM at the funeral home with Reverend Justin Judy officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Penn-Lincoln Memorial Park, North Huntingdon. www.dobrinickfhinc.com
