Robert L. Brammell

Robert L. Brammell, "Bob", 89, formerly of Level Green, PA passed away peacefully and surrounded by loving family on Thursday September 16, 2021 in Leesburg, Virginia. He was born on February 13, 1932 in Monroeville, PA and was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years Joanne M. Brammell (nee Santangelo), his parents, Roy Brammell and Mary Brammell (nee Kratochvil), brothers Roy "Bud" Brammell, Jr. and Ronald Brammell and great grandson Nolan Joseph lsaacs. Surviving family includes brother Lawrence Brammell of Harrison City, PA, brother Russell Brammell (Betty) of Apollo, PA, children Lori St Angelo (Jim Gross) of Sterling, VA, Robert J. Brammell (Doreen) of Hilliard, OH, Jeffrey Brammell of Latrobe, PA. Bob had eight grandchildren Nicholas Giorno, Alex Giorno, Ashley Isaacs (Kyle), Carla Allen (Roger), Leslie Brammell, Jeremiah Brammell (Wendy), Erik Brammell and Dayha Ervin. He was incredibly proud of his nine great grandsons Camden, Carter and Christopher Brammell, Abel and Clark Brammell, Maxwell and Hudson Isaacs, Rory and Landon Allen while also awaiting the arrival of twin great grands in December.

Those who knew and loved him will forever remember his decades of passion and community involvement in Level Green and Penn Township. This included youth baseball, football and his biggest passion was Penn Trafford youth soccer. His mentorship touched so many and was memorialized in a high school spirit award as well as a youth soccer field named in his honor. He was inducted into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame, East Boros Chapter alongside his brother Larry in the early 2000s. He also became active in the Level Green Seniors club and maintained an active presence at church. Many believed he was a local legend with a huge heart and sparkly blue eyes. He worked very hard all his life for his family. Having worked for Westinghouse for over four decades his work ethics inspired many he came in touch with and will be missed by all.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am Saturday October 9, 2021 at the Community Church, 3487 Route 130 in Harrison City with interment at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park to be placed in eternal rest next to his loving wife Joanne. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Heart Association or a charity close to your heart in his name.
