Richard G. “Rick” Nicely Sr., age 81, of Murrysville, formerly of Trafford passed away on Saturday December 7, 2024 in UPMC East, Monroeville.  Rick was born on July 16, 1943 in Pittsburgh the son of the late Edgar M and Rose (Lestitian) Nicely. Rick was a veteran of the US Navy during the Vietnam War.  He was the owner and operator, along with his wife Melrose, of the R.G. Nicely Hvac Inc. in Trafford for over 50 years until their retirement and the business is now owned and operated by his children Joan and Dan. Rick was preceded in death by his son Richard G. “Rick” Nicely Jr. in 2016 and a brother. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Melrose (Schopp) Nicely; his daughter Joan Nicely and son Dan Nicely; two grandchildren; a brother and two sisters.
