Obituary

Reynold A. Peduzzi Jr., age 88 of Harrison City, a former lifelong resident of Trafford, passed away surrounded by his loving family in his home on Monday, May 2, 2022.  Rey was born on August 17, 1933 in Trafford the son of the late Reynold A. and Anna A. (Belli) Peduzzi.  Rey graduated from Trafford High School Class of 1951, he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from Geneva College and his Masters of Arts from Duquesne University.  Rey served with the US Marine Corps as a Lt. from 1955-1961 and was a member of the Marine Corps League-Forbes Trail Detachment 797.  Rey was a lifetime member of the St. Regis Church, Trafford.  Rey started his education and coaching career in East Liverpool, OH and Midland, PA.  Rey was the First Principal for the Penn-Trafford High School, the Director of Education for the Diocese of Greensburg, the former Mayor and Councilman of Trafford Borough, a Charter Member of Westmoreland Heritage Trail & BY Park Renovation, Chairman of Trafford Veterans Memorial Park Committee, Geneva College Hall of Fame Inductee in 1995, PA East Boros Sports Hall of Fame Inductee in 2002, and a Penn-Trafford High School Alumni Hall of Fame Inductee 2021, the Inaugural Class.  Rey was preceded in death by his brother Carl J. Peduzzi and his wife Agnes, his twin brother Ronald E. Peduzzi and his brother-in-law Harry Odem.  Rey is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Bibiana (McCormack) Peduzzi; his children Gregory Peduzzi (Marjorie) of Irwin, Ronald Peduzzi (Janet) of Hilton Head, SC, Mark Peduzzi (Lisa) of Harrison City, and Lisa Konopka (Patrick) of Harrison City; his grandchildren Alicia (Sean), Alexis (Ryan), Rocco (Lauren), Olivia, Anthony, Nicole, Zachary, Alaina, Joseph, Jacob, Jonathan, John Patrick, Abigail, and Dheaven; his great-grandchildren Anthony Rey, Reese, Roman, Rocco and Vincent; his sister Joann “Sis” Odem of Houston, TX, and sister-in-law Carolyn Peduzzi of Fox Chapel.  Family and friends will be received from 6-8 PM on Wednesday and 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Thursday in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc. 702 7th St. (State Rt. 130) Trafford 412-372-3111.  Parting prayers will be at 9:15 AM Friday in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 10 AM in the St. Regis Church.  Interment will follow with military honors in the New St. Joseph Cemetery, N.
