Paul J. Maljan, age 74, of Penn Township, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025. Paul was born on January 25, 1951 in Wilkinsburg, the son of the late Uros “Art” and Marjorie (Storey) Maljan. Paul was a loving husband, father and grandfather (Jedo). He loved spending time with family and friends and attending his children’s activities and sports events. He retired from teaching social studies at Penn-Trafford, but when he was still teaching, he was a devoted coach for their basketball, track and softball teams. Paul is a member of the IUP baseball All-Time roster (1970-1973), as well as a member of the PA Sports Hall of Fame East Boros. He was a member of St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox church. He enjoyed watching baseball, basketball, and football. Paul was a known fan of the Pirates, Steelers, and most controversially, Pitt, Penn State and Notre Dame. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-laws Al and Carole Bilesimo. Paul is survived by his wife Donna (Bilesimo) Maljan; his children PJ Maljan (Heather) of Trafford, Amanda Maljan of Erie, Ashley Maljan of Monroeville and Ali Maljan of Atlanta; his granddaughter Kalina Maljan, his brother Art of Trafford, his brother-in-law Dave Bilesimo of Cleveland and sister-in-law Dianne Peters of Irwin; his aunts and uncles; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be missed by his precious pets, Gus, Daisy, Harley, Mitzi and Kitty. Paul was a friend to all—animals and people. All services are private.
