Patrick J. Cronin

Patrick Cronin, age 77, of Trafford went to be with our Lord on September 7, 2024.  Pat was born in Corning, NY on October 24, 1946 the son of the late Albert and Marion Cronin.  Pat was a loving husband and father.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed his trips to Florida.  Pat also was appreciated by his neighbors for always being there when they needed help.  Pat was a member of the St. Regis Church in Trafford.  Pat graduated from the State University of New York with his M.S. in Civil Engineering in 1970.  After graduating from college, he accepted a position at Bethlehem Steel Corporation in Baltimore MD and he also worked at Westinghouse Electromechanical Division in Cheswick and the Advanced Systems Technology, Research and Development Department and he worked at the Large Rotating Apparatus Division Advanced Programs Department.  Also, he taught Engineering for several years at the Penn State Beaver and New Kensington Campus where he received an award for advising.  Pat is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Janet Cronin; his daughter, Andrea (Zach) Washa; his son Tim Cronin; his six grandchildren, Logan, Julianne, Corinne, Mason, Avery and Camden; his sister Beth Cronin; several brother and sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.  Also, Pat was preceded in death by his brother Dan Cronin.  Family and friends will be received in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc., 702 7th St. (State Rt. 130) Trafford 412-372-3111 on Thursday from 4-8 PM.  Parting prayers will be on Friday at 9 AM in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 9:30 AM in the St. Regis Church with Fr. Daniel Carr as celebrant.  Interment will follow in the Grandview Cemetery, N.
