Norman L. “Norm” Bova, age 61, of Wilmerding passed away surrounded by his loving family and friends on Saturday, April 23, 2022. Norm was born on December 1, 1960 in Pittsburgh the son of the late Anthony and Mary Grace (Fisher) Bova. Norm is survived by his loving wife Sandy McFall; his baby sister Kathleen; his favorite big brother Robert “Bob” Coddington and Mike Orme, as well as his Three Amigos Armand, Piney and Mark. After a serious accident, Norm showed us all how to have courage and resilience. Having to change careers mid-life, he became a high school teacher at Forbes Road Career and Technology Center, teaching Electrical Technology. This transition was made easy by his family of co-workers. Although he gave his students a hard time, he really cared about them and their future careers. A proud accomplishment for Norm was at the Bonneville Salt Flats where Norm and Mike set a speed record in a Ford Mustang. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 3-8 PM in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home, Inc., 702 7th St. (State Rt. 130) Trafford 412-372-3111. A prayer service and celebration of Norm’s life will be held at 8 PM at the conclusion of visitation Tuesday evening. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Amyloidosis Foundation, 7151 N. Main St., Suite 2, Clarkston, MI 48346 or www.amyloidosis.org. www.dobrinickfhinc.com
