Max S .Cook of Level Green, peacefully passed away in his sleep on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 85 years young. He was preceded by his parents Jesse and Evelyn (Nemitz) Cook and sister Nancy Grace. Max was the loving and devoted husband to his childhood sweetheart of 65 years, Dolores Lynn Cook. He would tell her, " I will love you till the day I die then I will love you from the sky." right after saying, "I have two deers in my life, my dear wife and my John Deere tractor". God had blessed them with two wonderful and devoted children Brian Cook of Hayward California and Renee Cook Booher of Jacksonville Florida; grandchildren Daryl Cook (Lauren), Sean Cook, Matt Booher (Laura) and Melinda Booher Hays (Robert); great-grandchildren Kaden, Alyssa, Tyler, Abigail, Nathaniel, Caleb, and Joshua. Max was committed to his family and helping others. Giving back to the community as a Little League Coach, Cub Scout Master and Boy Scout Leader were just a few of his acclimates helping to develop the youth. Max was also a past master of the former Masonic Lodge 612 and a current member of Plum Creek Lodge No. 799 F&AM and a member of the Level Green Presbyterian Church. Max served in the US Navy during the Korean War on the USS Albemarle. Max’s family would like to thank Heartland Hospice and their staff for the care they gave Max. Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 1-3 PM in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc. Trafford 702 7th St. (State Rt. 130) Trafford (412) 372-3111. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday in the funeral home with Rev. Geoff Rach and Chaplain Martin Wright officiating. Entombment with military honors will follow in the Penn-Lincoln Mausoleum, N. Huntingdon.
