Mary Jo (Schmucker) Caruso, age 93, of Trafford passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 11, 2023 in her home. Mary Jo was born on September 27, 1929 in Latrobe the daughter of the late John T and Frances (Ebersberger) Schmucker.  Mary Jo was a member of the St. Regis Church in Trafford.  She was a part of the Sleeping Bag Ministry and was a volunteer for other church functions. She enjoyed gardening, listening to music and spending time with her grandchildren.  She cherished faith, family and friends and always found time to help others. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Donald V. “Nutch” Caruso in 2022, five brothers, Donald, John Jr., Gerald, David and Simon Schmucker; and two sisters, Vivian Cogan and Martha Flowers. She was the last surviving member of her siblings.  Mary Jo is survived by her children Cathleen Faina (David), Anita Caruso (Paul “PJ” Leasure), Donna Caruso (Tom Ross) and Anthony Caruso; three grandchildren Megan, Adam and Nathan.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.   Family and friends will be received on Friday from 4-8 PM in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc. 702 7th St. (State Rt. 130) Trafford 412-372-3111.  Parting prayers will be at 10 AM Saturday in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 AM in the St. Regis Church with Fr.
