Obituary
Mary Elizabeth (Nalevanko) Bruno, age 91, of Trafford passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022 nine days before her 92nd birthday. Mary passed away very peacefully and was fortunate to have all her children and their spouses, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends visit with her this past week. Mary was born on March 15, 1930 in Wall the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Charney) Nalevanko. Mary was the original owner of the J&W Floral Shop in Trafford for 24 years and was an exceptional floral designer. In her younger years she was a synchronized swimmer and worked as IBM Key Punch Operator in the E. Pittsburgh Westinghouse and she was a member of the St. Regis Church in Trafford. In addition to her parents Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years James D. Bruno in 2016, her siblings Andrew Nalevanko (Margaret), Margaret Mish (Frank), Mike “Bob” Nalevanko (Gloria), John Nalevanko (Florence), Mary is survived by her children children Pamela Kearns (Rick), Dominick "Dino" Bruno (Karen), Frank Bruno (Angela) and Ralph Bruno (Nicole); her 10 grandchildren Brian (Kali), Jason (Gina), and Tim Kearns (Katie), Matt, Michael (Krestalyn), Tyler (Jess), Breanna, Carleigh, Nicholas and Colton Bruno; and her 11 great-grandchildren Reno, Malia, Vienna, Niomi, Penny, Adelina and Siena Kearns and Maria, Nina, Veda and Nico Bruno; and her sisters Ann Thompson (the late Ray), Helen Cooper (the late Earl) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 2-8 PM in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home, Inc. 702 7th St. (State Rt. 130) Trafford (412-372-3111). Parting prayers will be at 9:30 AM Friday in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 10 AM in the St. Regis Church Trafford with Fr. George Saletrik as celebrant.
