Mark S Kochanov, age 75, of Level Green, passed away on Thursday July 2,2026 surrounded by family at Forbes Regional Hospital.  Mark was born Oct 17, 1950 in Trafford the son of the late Martin and Mary {Arendas) Kochanov.  Mark retired from the US Postal Service as Distribution Clerk at Wexford Bulk Mail Center. As a Sergeant of US Air Force during the Vietnam War was awarded several commendations for meritorious service as a Weapons Controller Technician Combat controlling of over 2400 flights in support of US Airlift during combat.

In addition to his parents Mark was preceded in death by his daughter Jessica R Kochanov; and infant brother Robert Kochanov and his sister-in-law Linda Kochanov.  He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy A (Leon) Kochanov of 51 years, son Mark A. Kochanov, (Beth); brothers Martin "Marty" Kochanov (Cindy), William "Billy" Kochanov (Jane), Thomas "Tom" Kochanov (Debbie), and his sister Sandy (Kochanov) McFall, along with many nieces and nephews.

Mark graduated from Trafford High School Class of 1968 where he was a linebacker and guard for the football team.  He had a special Charismatic appeal in that he was someone you wanted to be around.  He always seemed to have something funny to say with a "Johnny Carson Touch."  Travel was never just about the miles for Mark it was more the moments.  From golfing, fishing, cruising and many vacations filled with laughter and love and his famous saying " Let the Games Begin”.  He leaves behind a legacy of curiosity of History (attending CCAC), love for his country, love for his pet dog KOKO.

Private interment will be in the National Cemetery of The Alleghenies with Full Military Honors and a Memorial Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later time.  The John M.
