Louise J. Sheffler

Louise J. Sheffler, age 91, of Level Green peacefully went to be with the Lord, Friday June 4, 2021 at Redstone Highlands, North Huntingdon campus. She was born November 1, 1929 in Uniontown, PA, daughter of the late Miles Herbert Johnson and Marion Crosby Berry. She was a devoted mother, aunt and dear friend to many. Louise retired from Irwin Bank & Trust (now S&T Bank) in 1991 having served her customers there for over 25 years. She loved her Lord and was a member of the Level Green Presbyterian Church for over 50 years and was also a member of the Lois Ruth Circle. Everyone loved to see her sweet smile and hear her beautiful voice in the chancel choir, as well. You could also find her counting the Sunday offering each Monday morning.  Through the years, Louise enjoyed her involvement with the Young at Heart Seniors of Harrison City and the Penn Township Seniors.  Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, James L. “Jim” Sheffler on March 13, 1996; her sister Nancy J. Savage on May 20, 2003; brothers-in-law Harold W. “Had” Sheffler on October 19, 1994, Dean A. Sheffler Sr. on March 19, 2013 and Dick Savage on September 11, 2020. Louise is survived by her son Douglas J. “Doug” Sheffler of Blairsville, PA, her daughter Lucinda L. “Cindy” Sheffler of Level Green, PA and sisters-in-law Marie Sheffler and Mary Elaine Sheffler both of New Alexandria, PA. Also, she dearly loved and is survived by several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.  Praise be to God, Louise is now singing with the Angels in Heaven and reunited with loved ones by the gracious gift of eternal life through Jesus, her Lord.  Family and friends will be received Saturday, June 12 from 1-7 PM at the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home, Inc., 702 7th St. (State Rt. 130) Trafford 412-372-3111. Funeral service and celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 13th at 3:30 PM in the Level Green Presbyterian Church, 105 Olive Dr., Level Green with Reverend Geoff Rach officiating. If you are attending the funeral service, please go directly to the church. No services will be held at the funeral home. Private interment will be Monday at the Union Cemetery, New Alexandria. Memorial contributions may be made to the Level Green Presbyterian Church, 105 Olive Drive, Trafford PA 15085.
