Loretta C. (Mavers) Bowden

Loretta C. (Mavers) Bowden age 92, of Trafford passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at her home with family by her side. Loretta was born on September 7, 1929 in Hecker, IL the daughter of the late Jacob and Ella (Forness) Mavers. Loretta was a member of the St. Regis Church, Trafford.  She enjoyed traveling and took many trips over the years with family and friends.  Some of her favorite trips were those going home to Illinois to see her family. She will be sadly missed and always remembered. The family would like to thank the AHN Hospice Team and the nurses at Forbes Hospital for their care of Loretta. In addition to her parents Loretta was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years James O. Bowden; her infant daughter Kathleen; her siblings Bernard Mavers, Virginia Koch, Anna Mae Smith, Anton Mavers, and Margaret Mary Mavers (Infant). She is survived by her children Sandy Fox (Tom) of Mt. Lebanon, Diane Bowden of Monroeville and Jack Bowden of Trafford; her grandchildren Sean Fox (Shannon), Mark Fox (Casey) and Carrie Finberg (Justin); her great-grandchildren Callie and Emma Fox; and many nieces and nephews. There will be no public visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass on Friday at 11 AM in the St. Regis Church, 517 Homewood Ave., Trafford PA 15085. Private burial will follow in the New St. Joseph Cemetery, N. Versailles. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to the St. Regis Church or a charity of one’s choice. John M.
