Kim P. Hanscom, of Jeannette, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, at the age of 69. Born on April 3, 1957, in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania, Kim was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Kim was the most loving person, with a heart of gold and a gift for making everyone around her feel loved and cared for. Her greatest joy was her family, and she cherished every moment spent with those she loved. She passed surrounded by her family, in a room filled with love. A beautiful reflection of the life she lived and the love she gave so freely.
Kim is survived by her beloved husband, John Hanscom; her sons, John (Tania) Hanscom, Jason (Amy) Hanscom, Joe (Kristina) Hanscom, and Josh (Amanda) Daugherty; and her step-sons, Chris (Kay Elam) Stranko and Shawn (Ashlee) Stranko.
She was a loving grandmother to Logan and Bryce Hanscom, Gavin and Ryleigh Hanscom, and Ayden, Lilly, Haylee, Chloee, Mandie, and Ellie Daugherty. She is also survived by her fur baby, Buster, and her grand dogs, Hope and Ivy.
Kim is survived by her siblings, Kathi Crenner (George Chenault), Charlie (Tina) Wanner, and RaeAnn Stead, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and loving friends who will forever cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nelson Shaulis and Patricia Johns, and her beloved fur baby, Anna.
Kim’s love, kindness, compassion, and beautiful spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
Family and friends will be received on Monday July 27, 2026 from 2-4 & 6PM until the time of her funeral service at 8PM in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc., 702 7th St, (State Rt. 130) Trafford 412-372-3111 with Pastor Joseph O’Brien officiating. Burial will be private at a later date.
