Joseph A. Wasko, age 78, of Penn Twp., passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025 in his home. Joe was devoted to his family and never short on opinions—or charm. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betsy Wasko; his parents, Joseph and Anna (Sable) Wasko; and his sister-in-law, Peggy Whitfield. In recent years, he found happiness and companionship with his fiancée, Barbara Cowell, who remained faithfully by his side. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Hill; his two granddaughters; Marissa and Hollie. He is also survived by his sisters, Flo Stockman (and the late David Stockman), Eleanor Lowden (Richard), and Joanna Wasko; and his brothers-in-laws, Bill (Cheryl) Walter and David Walter. Joe wasn’t one for formalities or fuss, and in that spirit, his life will be remembered with love, laughter, and good stories shared among those who knew him best. Family and friends will be received on Monday, August 4, from 11:00 AM until 12:45 PM in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc., 702 7th Street (State Rt. 130) Trafford 412-372-3111.
