Joseph J. Baric Sr. Obituary

Joseph “Joe” Baric Sr. passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on March 16, 2026 at the age of 96.   The son of Frank and Anna Baric he was born on January 30, 1930 in Trafford, Pennsylvania.

Joe and his late wife Mary (Pavlovich) raised a beautiful family of seven children in Trafford.  Jean Baric Parker (the late Kevin), Mark Baric (Jan), Christine Gianni (Rich), Thomas Baric (Karen), Carol Baric Tarnow (Greg), Joseph Baric, and Robert Baric.  Later in life, he and Mary moved to Cary, North Carolina, to enjoy a warmer climate while still remaining close to their children and several grandchildren that lived in that area.  Joe honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1948 to 1950 and was stationed in Germany.  During his professional career, he worked as an editor at the Trafford Westinghouse Printing Division.

Finding joy in life’s simple pleasures, he was an avid reader and gardener. He loved telling jokes and sharing stories, often ending with a belly laugh that was contagious. His humor and lighthearted spirit brought joy and warmth to all who knew him.  During his last years with us, Joe spent time living with each of his 7 children who lovingly cared for him, allowing each of their families to create wonderful memories that they will cherish forever.  His legacy continues through his 28 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.  Joe will be remembered for his gentle soul, deep faith, laughter, kindness to all he met, and stories that will continue to echo in the hearts of his family for generations to come.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, April 26, 2026 from 4-7 PM in the John M.
