John J. Jankovik Sr., age 75, of Level Green passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 in the UPMC East Hospital, Monroeville. John, the son of the late Walter and Mary M. (Rico) Jankovik was born on June 1, 1949 in Wilkinsburg. John worked in the Security System Industry for various companies for numerous years. In his youth, John was a Pennsylvania State Archery Champion and he loved to fish and hunt. John retired from the Level Green Volunteer Fire Department with 22 years of service and served as Assistant Chief. He was a member of the Level  Green Bowlers League for 43 years and severed as Secretary for many years. He served as Secretary and Treasurer for the Hilltop Golf League at Manor Valley Golf Course. John was a member of the St. John Kanty Lodge (Polish Club) #855 of Trafford, a social member of the Trafford American Legion Post 331 of Trafford, and a life member of 44 years at the Norwin Elks Lodge #2313, Irwin. John is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Sharon (Pauch) Jankovik; his children Renee Vite, John J. Jankovik Jr., and Jason L. Jankovik; his three grandchildren Isabella Fresch, Madison Vite, and Jason Baacke; his sister Cynthia Manza (Frank) and brother-in-law David Dovyak. In addition to his parents John was preceded in death by his daughter Rebecca Lynn Jankovik and his sister Linda Dovyak. Family and friends will be received on Monday April 21, 2025 from 12-5 PM in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc., 702 7th Street (State Rt. 130) Trafford 412-372-3111. Funeral services will promptly begin at the conclusion of visitation at 5 PM in the funeral home with Rev. John Patterson officiating.
