John J. Hopkinson

John J. Hopkinson, age 81, of Level Green passed away peacefully on Friday, November 17, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family.  John was born on September 1, 1942 in Herminie, the son of the late John and Clara (Vorech) Hopkinson.  John and his wife Mary are the proud owners and operators of their family business, Harrison City Lawn and Garden, joined by their grandson Sam. John was passionate about hunting, fishing, horse-back riding, taking care of his animals, and being outdoors. He loved spending time with his family, and building relationships throughout the community through their business.  In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his daughter Dawn L. Hopkinson.  John is survived by his wife Mary “Kay” (Roney) Hopkinson; his daughters Darcie Godich and Dayna Sauter (Bob); his grandchildren Jessica Totin (Jeff), Sam Godich (Randee), Megan Godich and Jordyn Sauter; his siblings Janet Piern (Frank), Linda Simpson (Kevin) and Terri Frye (Chuck).  Family and friends will be received for a memorial visitation on Wednesday from 3:30 PM until 5 PM, at which time there will be a memorial service in the John M.
