John C. Heyer, age 82, of Trafford passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025 in his home surrounded by his loving family. John was born on December 16, 1942 at home in Plum, where he lived most of his life, the son of the late Conrad W. and Martha Isabelle (Wright) Heyer. John was a current member of the Trafford Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and a former member of the Lower Burrell Congregation. He enjoyed talking to people about the Bible and the hope we have for the future. John enjoyed gardening, photography, and using his creativity, but his passion was gardening. He loved planting seeds and watching them grow, and he enjoyed sharing his expertise with others. He will truly be missed by his family and friends. John is survived by his wife Jody K. (Liptak) Heyer; his children Tara Wallace (Eric); Sean Heyer (Kristen); Leah Wright (Levi); Erin Haygood (Brandon); his grandchildren Vanessa Hickman; Jamaal Wright; Alayna Wright; and Naia Haygood; and his siblings Timothy Heyer (Joyce) and Deborah Powers. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 3:00 pm at the Trafford Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 14051 Route 993, Trafford, PA 15085.
