James L. Bellows
July 15, 1945 ~ December 18, 2023 (age 78) 78 Years Old
James “Jim” Lee Bellows, 78, of Level Green passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, December 18th, 2023. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Cathie Bellows; his brothers, Gary Bellows, David Bellows & wife Carol Bellows, and William Bellows; his daughters, Kelly Hiddleston, Mika Smith, Janice Silva, Eileen Bellows, and DeAnn Romjue; his sons, James Bellows Jr., Jonathan Bellows, and Dustin Beck; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren with one on the way, and one great granddaughter; and many close friends.
Jim was born in Atlanta, Georgia on July 15th, 1945, and is the son of Rembert and Margaret (Graves) Bellows. Jim lived all over the United States before settling in Level Green, Pennsylvania in 1988. Directly after high school, Jim joined the U.S. Air Force and served for eight years, including time spent in Vietnam. He returned home to begin an extensive career in computer science and information technology until his retirement in 2014.
Jim had a passion for traveling, especially with his wife Cathie; his favorite destinations being Italy and the Caribbean. He enjoyed bird watching on his deck with a warm cup of coffee and his Birds of North America book. Jim always enjoyed reading whether it was on his own or to his children and loved encouraging others to do so. He was intelligent, gentle, loving, thoughtful, and acerbic. He will be missed by all who knew him.
There will be a private celebration of life held for Jim next year. The John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc, Trafford 412-372-3111 is assisting the family with arrangements. www.dobrinickfhinc.com
