Frank J. Novosel

Frank J. Novosel, age 96, of Trafford passed away peacefully on Sunday May 21, 2023 in his home.  Frank was born on August 22, 1926 in Rankin, the son of the late Anthony and Barbara (Neral) Novosel.  Frank was a veteran of WWII serving with the US Army and he was a member of St. Regis Church in Trafford. He retired from Union Switch and Signal as a machinist after 30 years of service.  In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wife Stella (Wrobel) Novosel; his siblings Steve, Joseph and John Novosel, Anne Colaric and Barbara Kuszaj.  Frank is survived by his children Jean Graham (Dennis), Ronald Novosel (Janis) and James Novosel (Beth); seven grandchildren, Michael and Brian Goodlin, Luke, Breanna, Prince and Kayla Novosel, Jenna and Ally Novosel and three great-grandchildren Mia, Conner, and Ava. The family would like to thank the wonderful caretakers for their love and support through this journey; Breanna, Kayla, Luke, Johnny, Kara, Rayleen, Joanna, Dee, Melissa, Shelby, Mya and all the Amedisys Hospice care staff.  Also, the family would like to thank Alex, Brian and Michael from Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Severna Park, MD for fixing Frank’s walkway so it was easier for him to come and go from his home.   Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc., 702 7th St. (State Rt. 130) Trafford 412-372-3111.  Parting prayers will be at 10:30 AM Friday in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in the St. Regis Church with Fr. George Saletrik as celebrant.  Interment with military honors will follow in the Good Shepherd Cemetery, Monroeville.
