Obituary

Francine (Johnson) Pugsley, age 59, of Harrison City passed away on Friday May 13, 2022.  She was born on March 5, 1963 the daughter of the late Ralph Sr. and Helen (Nitkiewicz) Johnson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Ralph Johnson Jr.  Francine is survived by her husband of 27 years John Pugsley; her aunts Beady Nitkiewicz of United, Betty and Dorothy Nitkiewicz both of Mt. Pleasant; and numerous cousins.  Francine’s deep faith carried her through her struggles and her undeniable strength kept her spirit willing to continue the fight.  Throughout her battle with ovarian cancer, her gratitude went out to the doctors and nurses of West Penn Hospital and the AHN Cancer Center at Forbes Hospital.  Francine was a 25-year employee at Carnegie Mellon University, where she served as an Administrative Coordinator in the MCS Dean’s Office.  Francine would want to be remembered by her kindness and generosity to anyone who needed her help.
