Faye J. Simmons, age 76, of Trafford peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday July 11, 2024 in her home.   Faye was born on September 24, 1947 in Wilkinsburg the daughter of the late Melvin and Betty Jane (Fix) Whitehead.  Faye worked for the former Donut Depot and Colonial Manor both in N. Huntingdon, the former Stoney Ledge Nursery in Penn Twp and Burlington in Monroeville.  She loved gardening, watching birds and especially her grandchildren and great-grandson.  In addition to her parents Faye was preceded in death by her husband Lester H. “Butch” Simmons Jr. in 1991. Faye is survived by her children Allen W. Simmons (Doreen), Marci J. Dugan (William “BB”), Chrissie Henigan (Rick); her grandchildren Cydney Simmons (Cameron Starr), Billy Dugan, McKenna Dugan (Lt. Edward Winters), Connor Dugan and Ethan Henigan; her great-grandson Kayman Starr; her sister Betty Jane Maljan; her niece Amanda Maljan; her nephew PJ Maljan (Heather); great-niece Kalina Maljan and Alyssa Farrell.  The family would like to thank the staff at Bridges Hospice for the excellent care of their mom, especially Shira (Sunshine), Kelly and Deanna.  Family and friends will be received on Monday from 3-8 PM in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc., 702 7th St. (State Rt. 130) Trafford 412-372-3111. Funeral services will be private for the immediate family.  Private interment will follow in the Penn-Lincoln Memorial Park, N.
