Eugene Gail Stump

Eugene Gail Stump, age 86, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away on Thursday January 14, 2021. Eugene was born August 4, 1934 in Washington, D.C., to the son of the late Elwood and Marguerite (Doggett) Stump. He served with distinction and honor in the United States Army, Transportation Corp. during the Korean War. On December 21, 1956 he married Joan Buchanan Angus and they raised three children, Cynthia, Ronald and Teresa. Eugene had a passion for being with his family. He also loved to travel, taking cruises and playing tennis. He was also known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and companionate spirit. In addition to his parents Eugene was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years Joan Angus Stump and his twin brother Elwood Reginald Stump. Eugene is survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren Daughter Cynthia Lea Ruszcyk (Douglas Paul); grandchildren Brandee Lynn Blevins and Brittnee Alisha Ruszcyk; great-grandchildren Jaxon Eugene Kimmey and Natahlia Estelle Sims; Son Ronald Elwood Stump, Granddaughter Gina Marie Meador (Brian), Great-granddaughter Perry Morgan Meador; grandson Wayne Anthony Stump;  Daughter Teresa Marie Stoner (Kirk Duane), Grandson Cory Michael Stoner and Granddaughter Danielle Marie Stoner. In lieu of flowers please make donations in his name to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV.ORG). At the family’s request all services are private. Private interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville. The John M.
