Esther Marie Palamone, age 87, of Penn Township, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2025.  She was born in Rankin on November 24, 1937 to Nicolino and Nicoletta (Dininno) DeSaia.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Anthony Palamone, three sisters, Carmella Carter, Angela Meyer, and Cesarina Matta.  She is survived by her three children, Lisa (Kevin) Litzinger of Level Green, Linda (Dale) Shearer of Hartstown, PA, and Nick Palamone of Penn Township.  Six grandchildren, Kevin (Jill) Litzinger, Nathan Litzinger, Ryan Litzinger, Rebekah Shearer, Sarah Shearer and Amanda Shearer and great granddaughter Maria Francesca Litzinger and several nieces and nephews.  Esther attended St. Brendan's elementary school and St. Thomas High School in Braddock, PA.  Upon graduating from high school, she worked as a bank teller at Pittsburgh National Bank in Squirrel Hill before raising her three children.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who put her family first.  Her Sunday dinners of homemade sauce and meatballs were a family favorite in addition to her apple cobbler and pizzelles.  She hosted Christmas dinner for as long as her children can remember.  Esther was also a member of the "Ladies Day Out" bowling league for over 30 years.  A member of St. Regis Church and devoted Catholic, Esther prayed daily and especially loved saying the rosary. Her faith was a priority in her life which she passed on to her children and grandchildren.  Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 1, 2025 in the JOHN M. DOBRINICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 702 7th St. (State Route 130), Trafford 412-372-3111.  Parting prayers of transfer will be at 9:30 AM in the funeral home on Saturday, August 2 followed by a funeral Mass at 10 AM in the St. Regis Church, 517 Homewood Ave., Trafford with Father Daniel Carr as celebrant. Interment will follow in the New St. Joseph Cemetery, North Versailles.
