Betty Petrucci, age 80, of Trafford, passed away on May 19, 2025. Betty was born on September 2, 1944, in Wilkinsburg the daughter of the late Charles Combetta and Lucy Marie (McAnulty) Combetta. Betty was preceded in death by her brother, Dick Placone, and niece, Alicia Placone. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Nick Petrucci, her children, Nick "Nooch" Petrucci and Andrea Petrucci Hansen, and her grandchildren Brianna, Julia, Alexa, Heather, Cole, Rocco and Anthony. In addition to her husband, children, and grandchildren, Betty is also survived by her sister-in-law, Jeanne Placone, and several nieces and nephews including Pilar Placone Willey. Betty graduated from Trafford High School and Point Park College. She worked at Westinghouse as an Administrative Assistant until retirement and then enjoyed many hours of part time work at Morninglory in Murrysville. Betty loved cooking for her family and was the champion of many Christmas Eve’s Seven Fishes dinners and uncountable backyard cookouts. She loved to travel with her husband Nick, and they visited every state and many European countries. Betty's greatest joy was her grandchildren and being their Nana. She could always be found cheering them on at their many activities and sporting events over the decades. She treasured her bulldogs and loved four of them over her lifetime, Mac, Deuce, Brutto and Chief, along with her beagle, Sweet. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday May 24 at 9:30 AM in the St. Regis Church, 517 Homewood Ave. Trafford with Fr. Thomas Dansak as celebrant.
