Edward Paul Witek, age 82, of Penn Twp. passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 in the UPMC East Hospital in Monroeville.  Ed was born on May 23, 1943 in Mt. Pleasant the son of the late Joseph John and Mary Magdalene (Shea) Witek.  Ed was a retired teacher from the Mt. Pleasant Sr. High School.  He loved spending time with his son fishing, hunting and splitting wood.  He also loved working on cars and he enjoyed his family and his dogs.  Ed was a loving, kind and caring person.  In addition to his parents Ed was preceded in death by his daughter Michelle Lynn Witek, his siblings Joseph Witek, Joanne Caputa, Alice Welc, Helen Witek, Walter Witek and Josephine Nemeth.  Ed is survived by the love of his life his wife of 55 years Leona J. (Zierski) Witek; his son Christopher E. “Chris” Witek (wife Jamie); many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews where he was especially close to Kim Quinn (Dan), David Zierski (Kathleen), Michael Zierski (Melissa) and the late Jason Zierski, great nephews and nieces Devin, Tyler, Brendon, Kaylee and Ben and he is also survived by his sister-in-law Barb Cecil.  Family and friends will be received on Friday December 5, 2025 in the John M.
