Edward L. Cigich, age 89, of Trafford passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025 in Independence Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg.  Ed was born on March 17, 1936 in Trafford the son of the late Joseph and Ella (Kowash) Cigich.  Ed retired from the Robinson Pattern Co. in Oakmont as a pattern maker and worked for the Penn-Trafford School District as a custodian for several years.  He was a retired member of the Trafford Fire Co. No. 1 and a member of the St. Regis Church in Trafford.  Ed is survived by his loving wife Louise “Dolly” (Ometz) Cigich; his nieces and nephews Susan Feraco (William), Patti Sanders (Dr. Robert Sanders), Mary Ann Hopkins (Danny), Cindy Andrews (Tim), Joe Cigich Frank Cigich (Linda), Janice DalCanton, Ralph Cigich (Janice), Peggy Ann Celani and Paulette DeFloria (James) and Terry Maderish (Audrey); his sister-in-law (the late) Connie Maderish (husband Terry), brother-in-law Lewis Ometz (Charlotte); also survived by several great nieces and nephews.  Ed was preceded in death by his brothers Frank and Joseph Cigich and his sister Peggy Johnson.  Family and friends will be received on Sunday 2-5 PM from in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc., 702 7th Street (State Rt. 130) Trafford 412-372-3111.  Parting prayers of transfer will be held at 9:30 AM Monday in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 10 AM in the St. Regis Church, Trafford with Fr.
