Dorothy Marie George, age 83, of Pitcairn passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023.  Dorothy was born on December 23, 1939 in Pittsburgh the daughter of the late Dennis and Rita (Cooney) Salyards. Dorothy retired from Pittsburgh Corning in Plum.  She was a member of the Pitcairn High School Alumni Association and while in high school she was a majorette.  In addition to her parents Dorothy was preceded in death by her sister Barbara Woomer.  Dorothy is survived by her children Paul George and Rhonda Birty; her grandchildren Nikko DeCenzo, Ashley George, Santino Birty, Amanda George; her great-grandchildren Timberly Trifunac and Luciano DeCenzo; her Lifelong companion Garlan (Earl) McCune and his children Dale McCune, Denise Arnold, David McCune and Gail McCune and grandchildren Dale McCune, Garlan McCune, Laura Gavlik, Scott, Zachary, and Tyler McCune, Andrew and Amanda Arnold and great-grandchildren Madison and Bastion McCune, Graeme and Garret Gavlik and Connor McCune.  Family and friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the John M.
