Donald J. McDonnell

Donald J. McDonnell age 76, of Trafford passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021.  Don was born on June 8, 1944 in Braddock, PA the son of the late Thomas and Angeline (Leo) McDonnell. Don was a veteran of the U.S. Airforce and served during the Vietnam War. He then worked and retired after 33 years with US Steel Corporation in the Payroll Department. Loving father of Nicole Clement (the late Raymond) of South Park, Tina Airgood (William) of Trafford, and Donald J. McDonnell Jr. (Pamela) of Monroeville, Pap and Pap Pap Don of Charles Prodanovich III, Samantha Prodanovich, Riley McDonnell, and Reese McDonnell, and long-time friend Chris McNally. Brother of Cecelia (the late Frederick) Hunker of Mars, Thomas McDonnell (the late Patricia) of Zelienople, and twin brother Ronald (Janet) of St. Louis. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many loving friends. Don had a passion for gardening. Every year he had a beautiful yard in which he took such great pride. There will be a memorial visitation on Thursday at 3-8 PM with a blessing service concluding at 8 PM in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc.
