Dolores Elaine Critchfield

Dolores Elaine Critchfield, age 95, of Penn Twp., passed away on February 4, 2025 in her home.   Dolores was born on August 20, 1929 in Homestead the daughter of the late John A. and Gertrude (Schotting) Healey.  Dolores worked at Mesta Machinery in West Homestead, Kaufmann’s Department Store in Pittsburgh and Williams Bus Garage as a school bus driver. She graduated from CCAC with a Licensed Practical Nursing Degree at the age of 44 and retired from Jefferson Hospital as an LPN.  She loved spending time with her family and friends, she loved her Pittsburgh sports and would critique the games with her daughter Kathleen. Dolores had a deep spiritual faith and she read her bible every night before she went to bed. She also was a member of the Level Green Sr. Citizens and volunteered with Meals on Wheels in Penn Twp.  Dolores is survived by her daughter Kathleen Jean Roberts (William) of Level Green; her grandchildren William J. Roberts (Letha Sooter) and Timothy M. Roberts (Erika Knox); and her great-grandchildren Eliza J. and Lillian R. Roberts.  Dolores was preceded in death by her siblings and their spouses John W. Healey (Leda), Richard Healey (Jacqueline), Harvey Healey (Joan), and Edgar Healey (Arlene).  Dolores’s family appreciates all the family friends and Bridges Hospice for helping care for her.  Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 2-6 PM in the John M.
