David A. Paola

David A. Paola, age 92, lifelong resident of Trafford, passed away July 30, 2022 after a brief illness. Dave was born on May 27, 1930 in Greensburg the son of the late Joseph and Grace (Pascuzzi) Paola. He graduated from Trafford High School in 1948, and was a U.S. Navy veteran from the Korean War serving on the USS Wisconsin. He was a lifelong member of the American Legion and past post commander of Trafford post #331 with 60 years of service. He was a retiree of U.S. Steel with 40+ years of service. In addition to his parents Dave was preceded in death by his siblings Patsy Paola, Clara Yurko and Vincent Paola; his first wife Kathleen ”Kay” Desmond Paola; and his son Billy. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; sons, David (Donna), Vincent (Susan), Edward (Carmela), Joseph (Kim), and Bernie (Stephanie); his sister, Toni Lucchino; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a great-great grandson; his granddog, Kona; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 & 5-7 PM in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home, Inc., 702 7th St., (State Route 130) Trafford, 412-372-3111. Parting prayers will be on Thursday at 10:30 AM in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 11 AM in the St. Regis Church.
