Carl Leroy Bandy, age 95, of Trafford passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 after an exciting and adventurous life. Carl was born on November 2, 1925 in Mannington WV, the 2nd son of the Everett E. and Beatrice E. (Yost) Bandy. Carl grew up in Trafford, PA, and enlisted in the US Army Air Patrol after graduating from Trafford High School. Carl received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pitt University and worked as an Engineer for the Union Rail Road for 10 years during which he married Helen Pankuch of Duquesne and started a family of 5 children. Carl saw opportunity and endeavored on a 50-year venture in the machine and supply business as a sole proprietor while continuing the Bandy family printing legacy. Family and friends would know Carl as quite a character being a quick conversationalist, a highlight at gatherings, avid dancer, and quite the story teller of his numerous worldwide cruises. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother Edwin C. Bandy. Carl is survived by his children; Kevin Bandy, Curtis Bandy (Florence), Keith Bandy (Annita), Craig Bandy (Candice), Carol Pyle (Harold), Jennie O’Dell (Jeremy); 13 grandchildren; as well as 2 great-grandchildren and his former second wife Jennie Lorkovic.
