Betty N. (Shirley) Harp

Betty N. Harp, age 87, a long-time resident for over 50 years of Level Green, most recently Manor Borough, Pennsylvania, passed away Friday, July 15 2022.  Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband Doyle Harp whom she was married to for 64 years, their son Robert Harp and their daughter Betsy Anne Harp.  She was survived by her three daughters Sherry Mains (husband Scott), Sandy Wilson and Dee Rellick (husband Curt) and seven grandchildren, Rachel Duray (husband Ron), Kayla Manduke (Husband Nick), Zach Mains (wife Chelsea), Jamie Hood (husband Jesse), Matt Wilson, Kate Rellick and Grace Rellick, plus 7 great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Katie, Ruby, Caroline, Jordyn, Jeremy and Nolan, with a new great-grandchild on the way.  Betty was born to James and Florence Shirley in Kittanning, PA and was the youngest of three children, Gene Shirley (brother) and Sally McKay (sister), all of whom are deceased.  Betty was a nurse for many years and a Christian who loved playing guitar in church, singing hymns and directing the children’s choir called “God’s kids”.  She loved animals, riding horses, especially her horse Smokey, and loved her former home in the woods where she raised her family and lived for over 50 years.  In her new home, she quickly made new friends and adopted a little dog named Fiona who stayed by her side till the very end.  A Celebration of Life service for Betty will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 11 AM with a Luncheon to follow in the New Life Presbyterian Church, PCA, 326 Raymaley Road, Harrison City PA 15636.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you send a donation to the Pitcairn Presbyterian Church, 312 Highland Ave., Pitcairn PA, 15140, where she was a member for over 30 years.  The John M.
