Bernadette “Bernie” Comunale of Trafford, peacefully passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024 at the age of 90 surrounded by her family. She was born April 5, 1934 in Pittsburgh to the late Walter and Verna (Visk) Lawniczak. Bernie loved flea markets, garage sales and creating an English garden in her backyard. Her property is actually listed as a Certified Wildlife Habitat! These are merely hobbies she enjoyed. Her true passion was immersing herself into the lives of her children and treasured grandchildren. Her home was always filled with family, laughter and love. Bernie was the beloved mother of Jim Comunale of Trafford, Shery (Jeff) Wootton of Smithton and Linda (Mike) Davis of Irwin. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren Greg (Holly) Thomas and great-grandson, Craig, Linda (Christopher) Graham, Brittany (Brandon) Howard, Jonathan Davis and Emily (Kevin Figueroa) Davis. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her adoring husband, James Comunale and cherished grandson, Michael Davis. The family will be hosting “A Celebration of Life” (to be-announced) at her home in Trafford where friends and family can gather to honor this wonderful and dearly loved woman.
