Anthony J. "Herky" Asquino

Anthony J. “Herky” Asquino age 86 of Trafford passed away on Thursday April 15, 2021 in the Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville.  Herky was born on October 3, 1934 in Trafford the son of the late Louis and Julia (Krul) Asquino.  Herky was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War, he retired from Westinghouse Electric in Homewood as an office manager and was a member of the St. Regis Church in Trafford.  He also was a member of the Trafford American Legion Post 331 and the St. John Kanty Lodge #855, Trafford.  He was preceded in death by his wife Elsie L. (Scaramuzzo) Asquino and his son Daniel Asquino and his sister Lucy Petrini.  Herky is survived by his daughter Janice (Russ) Lewis of Ft. Collins CO; his grandchildren Danielle (James) Neville, Katie (Greg) Lewis and Steven (MacKenzie) Lewis and great-grandchildren David and Logan.  Memorial donations in Herky’s name can be made to the Trafford Community Public Library, 416 Brinton Ave. Trafford PA 15085.  All services and his burial will be private due to COVID-19 Pandemic.
