Michael J. Zeravica Jr

Michael Jonathan Zeravica Jr. age 77 of Salinas, CA formerly of Trafford passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 10, 2010 after a heroic nine year battle with cancer. He was born in Trafford the son of Mike Sr. and Elizabeth Borgon. He was best known as the Proprietor of the former Lamplighter Lounge on Rt. 130 in Trafford. Mike worked with Pittsburgh Trucking, McDain Golf Center, was an associate with the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc. for over 10 years and the YMCA in Wilmerding before moving to Spokane WA to be near his only daughter and son-in-law. Mike loved the Y and worked at the YMCA of the Northwest for 5 years before moving to CA. Mike also was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the US Army. Mike was preceded in death by his brother Steve and two sisters Marie Zeravica, and Betty Kromer. Mike is survived by his wife of 52 years Rosemarie Angell Zeravica, his daughter Traciann Williams and husband Marc of CA, and son Michael Eric of Pennsylvania, two sisters Anna Mae Milovats and Carol Laird of Trafford and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Thursday in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc 702 7th Street (Rt 130) 412-372-3111. Parting prayers will be at 9AM Friday in the funeral home followed by a funeral mass at 9:30 AM in the St. Regis Church, Trafford with Fr. James D. Tringhese as celebrant.
