Lucy A. (Asquino) Petrini age 85 of Trafford passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday April 16, 2018 in the UPMC Shadyside Hospital Pittsburgh. Lucy was born on March 27, 1933 in Trafford the daughter of the late Louis and Julia (Krul) Asquino. Lucy was a member of the St. Regis Church in Trafford. She was a former dedicated member of the Trafford Borough Council and former Den Mother for the Boy Scouts. She retired from the Penn-Trafford School District within the tax office. After the passing of her husband she was the first smile you encountered while working at Health South Rehabilitation Hospital in Monroeville for 11 years. She was very involved with her family, her grandchildren and their activities, an avid Penn-Trafford sports fan, who loved the Steelers, Pirates and Seton Hill basketball. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis “Louie” Petrini of 46 years and an infant son Steven Louis Petrini. Lucy is survived by her children Thomas L Petrini (Miriam) of Penn Twp and Nanette “Sis” DiPiazza (Mike) of Irwin; her four grandchildren, who she passionately shared her love for,Thomas Petrini Jr. (Brooke) of Austin TX, Nicole DiPiazza of Orlando FL, Jenna Fraser (Shawn) of McCandless and Mike DiPiazza II of Jeannette; her brother Anthony “Herky” Asquino (Elsie) of Trafford and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc., 702 7th Street (State Rt. 130) Trafford 412-372-3111. Parting prayers will be at 9AM in the funeral home Saturday followed by a funeral Mass at 9:30 AM in the St. Regis Church with Fr. David Nazimek as celebrant. Entombment will follow in the Twin Valley Memorial Park Mausoleum, Delmont. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to the Trafford Fire Co. /TEMS P.O.
