Kenneth S Blawas

Kenneth S. Blawas age 71 of Trafford passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2017 in his home.  Ken was born on March 22, 1946 in Wegley (Hempfield Twp.) the son of the late Kenneth C. and Frances (Kush) Blawas.  Ken was a veteran of the US Navy during the Vietnam War.  He is the owner and operator of KC Auto Body in Jeannette and he worked for Greico Appraisal Services for 25 years.  Ken was a member of the St. Regis Church in Trafford, the Trafford American Legion Post 331, the Trafford Veterans Memorial Committee and the Bushy Run Lions Club.  Ken is survived by his wife Janet (O’Neal) Blawas; his two sons Kenneth J. Blawas (Carrie) and James R. Blawas (Carrie, “Miss”); his seven grandchildren Ethan, Isaac, Rachel, Kate, Hannah, Michael and Matt; and his siblings Frank Blawas, Frances Karol and Mary Andrighetti and a favorite uncle to many nieces and nephews.  Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc. (State Rt. 130) Trafford 412-372-3111.  Parting prayers will be at 9 AM on Friday in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 9:30 AM in the St. Regis Church with Fr. David Nazimek as celebrant.  Private entombment for the family with military honors will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Twp. at a later date.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Bushy Run Lions Club.   www.dobrinickfhinc.com
