John G. "Sonny or Slab" Mihalic

John G. "Sonny or Slab" Mihalic age 84 of Trafford died Friday July 9, 2010 in the St. Anne Home, Greensburg. John was born on October 28, 1926 in Trafford the son of the late John and Anna E. Gracan Mihalic. John retired from the construction industry, he was proud of his service with the US Navy and Coast Guard during WWII as an Aviation Radioman Third Class. He was a member of the CFU Lodge 541 of Trafford, the Trafford American Legion Post 331 and the LIUNA 1058. John was also preceded in death by his lifelong companion Sarah Orell and a sister Marie Mihalic. John is survived by many cousins and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 6-8 PM on Wednesday and 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Thursday in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc., 702 7th Street (Rt. 130) Trafford. A blessing service will be held at 10 AM on Friday in the funeral home with Fr. James D. Tringhese officiating.
