Helen M Kociela

Helen M. Kociela age 97 of Trafford passed away on Saturday August 4, 2018.  Helen was born on September 1, 1920, the daughter of the late John W. and Agnes (Palesky) Josephic.  Helen was a member of the St. Regis Church in Trafford, the Trafford and Level Green Sr. Citizens, the Trafford American Legions Auxiliary Post 331, Altar Rosary Society, Merry Makers Bowling League, Cub Scout den mother, and was employed by the Edgewood Country Club. Helen was preceded in death by her husband Bert W. Kociela; her brother Albert Josephic; and her sister Jane Popoloski. She is survived by her sons Craig (Jean) Kociela and Bruce (Renee) Kociela; her grandchildren Ryan (Nicole) Kociela, Christie (Frank) Armao, and Jennifer Scharba; great-grandchildren Tyler, Callan, Nathan, Jamie, Gianna, and Matthew; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 4-8 PM in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc., 702 7th Street (State Rt. 130) Trafford 412-372-3111.  Parting prayers will be at 9:30 AM Thursday in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 10AM in the St. Regis Church with Fr. David Nazimek as celebrant.  Entombment will follow in the New St. Joseph Mausoleum, N. Versailles.
