Doris Jean Nepa

Doris Jean Nepa, age 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 4, 2017 at Family Hospice and Palliative Care, Pittsburgh.  Doris was born on October 20, 1930 in McKeesport the daughter of Dominic and Elizabeth Scavariel.  Doris was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who married Silvio Louis Nepa in 1953.  Nothing gave her more pleasure then being with her family and she especially enjoyed decorating and cooking lavish meals during the holidays.  Doris was well known for her incredible pies that were eagerly anticipated by family and friends.  She also had a special passion for music and her beautiful voice was often heard during Sunday Mass.  Doris lovingly raised three children who survive her; Sylvia Jeffers (David), Louise Wick (William) and Raymond Nepa (Patricia).  Doris was also blessed with six grandchildren; Dr. Andrew Jeffers, Adam Wick, Maggie Wick, Angelina Nepa, Gina Nepa, and Nina Nepa; a sister Dr. Rosemary Cibik and many nieces and nephews.  Doris was preceded in death by her husband  Silvio of 59 years in 2012; her two brothers, Albert and Regis Nepa and a sister Betty Brazen. The family would like to thank Senior Helpers for enabling mom to stay in the home she loved the past three years.  Also, thank you to the pastor and Eucharistic Ministers of St. Regis Parish for their ongoing visits that were a joy and blessing for Doris. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 4-8PM in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc. 702 7th St. (St. Rt. 130) Trafford (412)372-3111.  Parting prayers will be at 9AM on Tuesday in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 9:30AM in the St. Regis Church with Fr.
